See the Pretty “Horses”

We chose not to set an alarm. I was awake at 3:00 am, so I read for a few hours hoping it would make me sleepy. Finally woke up again at 8:30. We had breakfast, packed up the camper and pulled out at 11:15. Our diet has been pretty awful this week so I requested a lunch with vegetables. This carousel, along with tons of other Christmas stuff, filled almost every inch of the Cracker Barrel store. Lunch was yummy and included a salad and leafy greens. The drive has been fine. We really did not encounter much traffic until we got near Richmond. We’ve had misting rain on and off since we left Raleigh. We should get home by 6:30 pm. I made an interesting discovery late last night. Somehow, my mother’s phone number had been blocked since June. There were 20 voice messages from her in a folder marked “blocked messages.” I have absolutely no idea how this happened, have never even noticed that folder before. We have certainly spoken with each other often. I called her early today and apologized. That might explain a comment she made not long ago about me being so busy but she hasn’t mentioned leaving me any messages. Whew! Thanks for the visit, hearts, stars and nice comments of late. Stay safe. We’ve met several large trucks with huge trailers used for debris. My guess is they are heading south to help with hurricane clean up. Wish we were still able to take part. “Life is a carousel. It goes up and down. All u gotta do is just stay on.” - Pharrell Williams
