The Goalie

Sunny and warm all day. Hubby was out of the house by 6:20 am to help with the Knight’s breakfast. My day started at 7:00 am. Packed the last few clothing items, got the house in order and attended 9:00 am Mass. Hubby made me a breakfast to go and I got to Brooklyn’s soccer game in time to eat before it started. The final score was 3-3. Two of the other team’s goals were penalty kicks and one was simply over her head. She made a phenomenal save at the end of the game so her team is still in first place. We packed all the food into coolers, I loaded the camper pantry and we left home around 2:30; check in wasn’t until 4:00 pm so we were in no hurry. The drive was very nice. This area is about as rural as you can get. We passed a grocery store and Dollar General about an hour away from the campground. Hopefully, there will be restaurants and shopping not far past the campground! We have four neighbors and it turns out one couple lives about six miles from our home. The lady worked on my original base in Maryland but we never crossed paths. One of the other guys worked on the base in Virginia where hubby and I met. Small world. We are all set to have a quiet week. I wish you the same. Thanks for the visit. “A goalkeeper cannot win a game. She can only save it.” - Anonymous
