Strange Light

Sophie had a sleepover last night as Kate was back at school today for a training day in her new role as teacher - for the third time in her career.

For once, Sophie was still asleep when I got up for this morning’s golf round; we must have worn her out yesterday!

None of us played very well today. We’re blaming it on the hard ground making it difficult to get a good connection on the ball. Any excuse! The sun made a lame attempt to get through the clouds at the 13th, creating some odd light. This is straight out of (phone) camera.

I got back in time to join Tess & Sophie at the pool for a swim and a picnic. She started having swimming lessons a couple of weeks back and she’s already able to do a few strokes of front crawl and backstroke with much more confidence.

Back home we enjoyed a competitive game of Ludo!

Some sad news today: my friend Roger messaged me to let us know that Carly the retriever passed away yesterday. Since she last featured in one of my blips

her health had deteriorated rapidly. Our Monday walks won’t be the same without her padding along behind us.
