Black Swallowtail

We’re having a scorcher today: heat index of 106° F. Hubby got up earlier than me. He’d already taken our trash and recycling to the convenience center when I made breakfast. This pretty butterfly was playing hard to get as I tried and tried to take some clear shots. I think these four give you all angles. Hubby is still positive according to our home COVID tests; he went to the health department to be tested before taking a chance of infecting others. Will get results in a few days. While out, he went to the Chick fil A drive thru and bought me a peach milkshake. I indulge in one each summer. Gosh was it good. My taste is back enough that I got a faint hint of luscious peaches. I sure do not miss that awful metallic taste. I used my energy to finally unpack the last items from our trip. Repacked most of them in my smaller suitcase for our upcoming camping trip. Other than that, I got rid of kitty litter the cats have tracked and put away a load of laundry. I’d reached my limit. But it felt good being a bit productive. Hope your day was as easy. Thanks for dropping by and Parker appreciates your compliments. He sends a heart to all. Stay safe. “As with the butterfly, adversity is necessary to build character in people.” – Joseph B. Wirthlin
