Too Hot…

…for doggies!
I try to help Bella by making shade, covering her with a wet towel, supplying her with water. What does she do? Finds the sunniest spot and lies their panting and doesn’t drink. At least she found a patch of long grass on the tow path for a sleep but still in the hot sun. It must be her Romanian blood!
I did some more weeding early on but otherwise we haven’t done much today as it was too hot so we sat out under the big sun brolly and came inside the boat now and then with all doors and windows open to create a through draught. Even if I’m not actually in the sun it makes me happy. :-D
Last night I dreamt I was in Boris and Carrie’s home! It wasn’t there fancy one in Downing St but a kind of two up two down and what an untidy mess!
I was playing with the baby and Boris came home bit didn’t say much. Carrie was trying to tidy up. Haha!  The sun must have got to me!

Summer!

What, it’s too hot you say?
Only last week you were complaining
about how cold you were,
the grey sky and that it was raining
Soon enough it will all change
so enjoy the summer while it’s here
throw open the windows and doors
sit in the shade and be of good cheer!
