Has to be done

Up at 4.30am to join 9 others for the Solstice walk organised by our yoga teacher.  4 brave souls went for a dip in the river (outside temperature 10 degrees), 2 paddled and the rest of us gave encouragement from the bank.  Wish I had taken my river walking shoes for a paddle.  Maybe next time I will be brave enough to swim.  Extra shows the tranquil scene looking the opposite way.
Glad that I had loaded most of the picnic things in my boot last night for the luching ladies and after food shopping only had to fill the cool boxes and bags.
Our only problem was getting the Prosecco open, but we persevered.
Going to have an early night and will sort out the debris in the kitchen in the morning.
