Yes, that’s actually the name of this bird!! We always thought the call was as a Whipperwill but they are actually 2 different birds! A friend and I were walking the trails behind the house when she spotted her! I put the pics on the WHATS THIS BIRD? Page and caused quite a stir. They are night birds and are apparently hard to photograph in daylight. Strange looking bird.
