What a glorious day - second half of April and the thermostat has suddenly been turned up! Sunshine and blue skies and a perfect day for a picnic with friends (once we found the place!).

Highdown Gardens is such a treasure. I can't believe I've not been before. (Actually I do know why - same reason I've hardly been anywhere, just never get around tuit!!) It's so beautiful!!! AND FREE!! So we'll be going for a run around a lot more I think. That's two places we can head to whenever now, especially if the weather is like this. FABULOUS! And I'm so glad Steve fixed our cameras, because I really loved taking pictures today :) If I can remember how to log in to my flickr account I'll put the rest up there!

The older kids did a treasure hunt type thing around Highdown Gardens, the littler ones got carried, the grownups chatted and laughed. We had icecreams afterwards too. Outdoors! Bear shared and then stole my cornetto which he was extremely pleased about, and Bean had a Magnum which he ate the chocolate off and then gave to me. Result! Everyone happy.

Bean didn't want to go home and I agreed so after taking the car and our stuff home we had another hour and a half at the playpark where Bear LOVED the slide (well, everything really). And once we were home and I'd dealt with another hypo we were out in the garden digging and inspecting the tadpoles. Sausage and curly fries for tea (Bean did not want curly fries) and back into the garden to water all the plants.

(Just want to note to myself really here too - am really proud of myself at the moment, because the last few days the pictures I've used off the DSLR have been SOOC! I've tweaked two where I didn't check the white balance first, and cropped one, but other than that, using the camera on a fully manual setting, I've got all my shots pretty much exactly how I want them. Pleased!)
