Look what I found................

Today Ann was doing a 1-5pm shift at work. When she does that, I normally get a little 'first thing in the morning' walk around the block for toileting purposes, and then after we've had our breakfast, we go out for at least a couple of hours because when Ann comes home from work she's too tired to take me far.

This morning we went through the grounds of the Royal Ed Hospital, up part of Craiglockhart Hill and then into Squirrel Woods. Squirrel Woods isn't it's real name. Actually we don't know what it's real name is? Ann just calls it 'Squirrel Woods' because there are zillions of squirrels there. Today I didn't see one single squirrel. Boohoo.

Anyway, after 'Squirrel Woods' we went through Colinton Mains Park and just look what I found...................... a manky old tennis ball. Yay! I carried it to Braidburn Valley Park. When I get into Braidburn Valley Park I always go into the burn for a bit of a cool down and a drink. So that is what I did. Obviously I had to open my mouth to have a drink, so my newly found manky old ball, was left floating around in the water. But that was OK because the burn wasn't fast flowing today so I was able to retrieve it as soon as I'd had a cool down and a drink.

It's about a 20 min walk home from Braidburn Valley Park so I carried my newly found manky old ball all the way home and then went out onto the balcony where I lay guarding it for half an hour.

When Ann came home from work, she took me out for another little walk, and when we got back into the flat, she picked up my newly found 'manky old ball' and threw it into my 'manky old balls' box.

I was happy about that, because at least I know where it is and I'm a bit sleepy so I'm back in my bed having snooze time.

Toodles. xx
