Silly puppy jumping up

I'm not a puppy any more. I'm three and a half years old. I still act like a puppy. I'm still really bouncy. No one can believe that I'm not a puppy.

This morning I was acting like the worst little collie pup in the world....................

We went through the 'Hermitage of Braid' for my walk and I did 'silly puppy jumping up' at practically every single person that I met. Why do I do this? My behaviour has been sooooooo good recently.
Fortunately for me, everyone that I jumped up at, absolutely loved me. Sometimes I even got treats.

Every time I 'jumped up' Ann said, 'Please don't talk to her until she's got all her paws on the ground'. …..........Ann wishes she could educate the 'great British Public as to how to interact with a silly little collie pup who insists on jumping up but unfortunately she can't.

Everyone who I jumped up at today, absolutely loved me so I made loads of new best friends. People say such things as; 'It's OK, I've got my old walking clothes on', or 'It's OK, I've got treats in my pocket', or 'It's OK, we've got a dog that likes to jump up', or 'It's OK, what a lovely friendly gorgeous dog'. Etc, etc, etc.

…................IT'S NOT OK!!!!!!!!


Ann thought that she'd almost solved the problem of me doing silly puppy jumping up at people. …............Obviously she hasn't???!!!

And then, Ann's friends, Susi & Gaynor came round for dinner tonight and I tried doing my 'silly puppy jumping up' at them too. Unfortunately for me that didn't work because Ann has briefed anyone who comes to the flat just to ignore me until all my paws are on the floor.

I can do it. I really can...........................

…....................BUT why, why, why, was I in 'silly puppy jumping up mode' this morning when I was out on my walk??????????????????  I've been such a good little collie pup recently.


PS - On the walk home from the Hermitage I found yet another manky old ball.  Yay.  Ann wishes I'd found it at the beginning of my walk because when I've got something in my mouth, I would never dream of doing silly puppy jumping up at anyone.
