Finis-almost
Up early because we had a full day planned. After a hearty sausage, egg and fruit breakfast, we ordered a few birthday gifts and headed outside for some more gardening. Not long after we started, my sister and BIL dropped by to show us their fabulous finds at an estate sale. They picked up three golf woods so I can make Jamie a cool yard ornament. My photo shows you most of my accomplishments for the day. I had to get out all those nasty weeds before planting my vegetables. There are seven more flower pots out front filled with annuals. I stationed my hanging planters and the pots that will reside on my back porch in the garden temporarily so they will be watered by the sprinkler system while we are camping. I planted the flowers by the grotto and a few cosmos by the driveway. Hopefully whoever checks on the kitties will give those flowers and my herb barrel a drink. There are a few more plants for the “well” flower garden but I have to clean it up first. It will wait until we return. They are in the garden in their pots temporarily. I had to share a look at my “gardening hands”; why in the world did I take off my gloves? Hopefully my gardener’s soap will get them clean again. Hubby flushed the camper water system, cut the grass and trimmed around everything, packed and started moving stuff into the camper. I am way too tired to cook so he is bringing us dinner from Mission BBQ. While he is gone, I am cleaning up all my mess and hosing down the patio. Can’t wait for my shower and Jammie’s. It is only 6:30 pm but we have not stopped all day. We are quite pleased with our day. Thanks for stopping by. Been too busy to hear any news. Stay safe. “However big or small your garden is, if you allow nature to touch your spirit, gardening will bring returns of peace, satisfaction, and well-being for as long as you continue to wander the garden path.” – Norman Hansen
