Extra day.
The plan had been to get a ferry back today but that would have meant far too tight a schedule so we're booked on the 4.30pm ferry tomorrow.
I wanted to finish strimming all the grass which I did (apart from the lovely Cuckoo plants pictured) W packed the van with treasured possessions, heirlooms and guitars ready to return then we treated ourselves to a trip to Granville, a lovely old port and very smart town about 40 minutes away.
Saw our first swallows of the year, had an early dinner then returned. W was rather exhausted having had little sleep during the trip (his bed was a right off thanks to the mice so had been sleeping on a couple of chairs) I had faired better using a sleeping bag unrolled onto an upturned mattress.
He went to bed early and I lit a fire in the fire pit and watched the bats flying as it got dark.
