dark morning

The sky was dark with the gathering storm, and yet the morning sun can still be seen. This has been the theme for today.
Our dear dog, Gracie, who just turned 10 last month is suffering terribly from arthritis in her back legs and now has it in her right shoulder. We didn't realize how much pain she was in until we came home from AZ with fresh eyes. So today we made an appointment with the vet to get an appraisal of our options. I was prepared for the worst, but we all came home with one more remedy to try. The vet said if the medicine is working we should see improvement by the end of the week.
So what seemed like a dark day has ended with a bit of hope.
