blood moon

This photo was taken at 1 am this morning. Probably the earliest I have ever taken a blip for the day.
But here in Colorado that was the time to see the full lunar eclipse, or "blood moon."
It didn't really look as red, or "coppery," as I expected, but I was pleased to see the earth's shadow creeping over the moon.
I took oodles of exposures over an hour's time, but I liked this one best because it shows most of the moon in shadow, but still a small edge lit up so that you can tell it is an eclipse and not just a regular full moon.
And it was all done from my front porch while I was still in my PJs!
