Diary of an Edinburgher

Archie goes shopping

JR had a lie in today - she did NOT go to the gym! Shock!Horror! She was feeling ‘a bit tired’… Though any tiredness was not evident during the day, as she was non-stop busy - taking Archie out round the block, going to the supermarket, and then going pick up a click and collect, then walking in to town to get some important item. Archie went with her, and had many compliments for his nice manners in the shops. He met a strange red dog, too. They got the bus home, as they were both a bit tired.

I did a few leisurely house keeping tasks, but spent much of my day listening to my audiobook. It’s not a worthy, weighty Booker short listed book, and it’s too trashy lightweight to mention it here, but at least I haven’t fallen asleep too often with it.

The soon-to-be new neighbour visited bearing a box of chocolates to appease our initial grumpiness over the skill-sawing at 7pm. He’s a very nice chap, and has had to be so patient trying to arrange workmen to do the job. They hope to be in by Christmas. They chaps have been working there all day, after not appearing at all yesterday. The young workman who came to apologise the other evening gave me a wave when I was out sweeping our path. So no hard feelings. Good - I don’t like hard feelings…
