Diary of an Edinburgher

Dougal!

JR went to the gym, while Archie and I popped in to see our neighbour, Mary, on the way to the park this morning. It was SO WINDY! And SO WARM!

Our new microwave arrived - such good service. I was booking in a time to go to the city dump with the old one, but I got stuck when I had to put in the car’s licence plate! We’ve had this car for many years now, and we both have a mental block with the licence number. I couldn’t go and look at the car because Archie was snoozing in my lap, so I’ll book another day. Tomorrow would be too busy anyway.

While Archie and JR went out for a big walk, I spent quite a lot of time checking in for the flight to Krakow next week. I’ve been putting it off for as long as I could, it’s such a bother. But it’s done now. And then it insists that I print off the boarding passes, though I always see people just showing it on their phones.

So I popped down to see Dougal and his mum, and to use Christine’s printer once again. A rather big G&T was enjoyed too. Dougal was very excited to see Archie, who was NOT going to play with him, sadly, but Dougal didn’t give up.

Actually, I’m using this shot because I’m always impressed how well the iPhone handles low light. There were just side lights on in the room, subdued lighting.

The Women’s Rugby World Cup, NZ v England, is on at 6.30am tomorrow, but I’ll record it, to watch at a more sensible hour (along with five other matches in the Autumn Internationals - not sure I’ll manage them all).

I’m so impressed at how well women’s sport is doing. Good luck you Kiwi gals!
