Chop, Chop
Cloudy with periods of rain or drizzle all day. Last night’s storm was a doozy. It could not have rained heavier but we were dry and safe so it did not interrupt our plans. We were up early this morning (7:00 am) to make the most of our “stay at home day.” Appreciated the rain, actually. We had all the ingredients for a Western omelette so Hubby made one for his breakfast. I do not eat eggs due to allergies so a ham and cheese sandwich pleased me. The homemade cranberry orange scones I brought took breakfast up a notch. Our screen house fared pretty good with the rain. We were able to spend our entire day there reading and working on cross stitch. The rain was light today and the temperature was fine with a light jacket to allow the fan to provide extra air flow. The time is going way too quickly. This will probably be our last real quiet period until 2022. Hubby’s new knee and the third required gastro surgery for Kristen as well as preps for Thanksgiving and Christmas will consume all my time. We have enjoyed being entertained by several cardinals, a squirrel and bunny outside our enclosure today. They did not mind the wet weather. Pizza means another easy meal and more reading to close out the day. Thanks for visiting, leaving stars and comments. Love reading your journals when we can get service for a bit. “Only a select few are able to see the true beauty that lies behind what just might seem like a rainy day or a grey sky.” – Jessica M.
