Day 490 Dripping wet

When we said that the garden would welcome some rain, we didn't mean an entire day of torrential rain with just a couple of breaks.  I did use one of the breaks to pop out and take some drippy shots.  I was torn between this one and some droplet shots of the heavenly bamboo berries, but the honeysuckle won out.  I hadn't posted a pic of it during the first flush of flowers as there were too many greenfly on every stem to make a pleasant picture, but now they have disappeared, thank goodness.  The pale background is next door's wall as this plant grows between our houses.
Today was unfortunately The Son's work BBQ and of all the days they could have chosen it had to be this one.  I gather that they overcame the weather though as the event was at a local rugby club with a marquee in place and a well stocked indoors bar.

No outings for Mr MC and myself today, but The Handmaid's Tale, series 4 to look forward to this evening.
