Day 491 A surfeit of flowers

Daughter #2 has received so many flowers after the arrival of Stella-Rose that she has kindly passed some onto us. I've arranged a selection here and photographed them for today's offering.  They are rather more cheerful than the vista outside which is still rather grey and dull.  It wasn't too grey though for Mr MC to have a round of golf with his brother this afternoon.
In other news: the Tokyo Olympics 2020 ( postponed from last year) are now well under way and make for some good viewing in the evenings.  The time difference between Japan and the UK is such that we are really just watching catch up programmes.  Live coverage starts at midnight which is definitely a no from me!
In the UK Covid-19 cases have dropped for the sixth day in a row, for the first time since mid-November, which means that the most recent surge is very likely past its peak.  Let us hope so!
