Day 125 A soggy moggy
The title isn't really accurate because on this occasion, Peggy Sue waited until there was a break in the rain before venturing out. Not that she minds light drizzle on her fur. Like Lilly before her she clearly enjoys the cooling effect of a moist coat. The extra is of yet another pigeon stopping off for a drink at the water feature, with the crocosmia in full flower now, behind him.
The rain meant a day of indoor activities but was most welcome for the garden and means that tomorrow the ground will be soft enough for planting. A cooler day also meant that shepherd's pie was on the menu for dinner this evening and very tasty it was too.
In other news: we managed to have a video call with Mr MC's sister and husband. They live in Sydney, Australia, so the likelihood of seeing them in the flesh any time soon is remote. We must have spent a couple of hours chatting and it was lovely to catch up. I had never been that keen on video calls in the past, but I'm beginning to get used to them and even enjoy them, which is just as well as I imagine that they will be figuring in people's lives for some time to come as part of the 'new normal'.
