Pennies from Heaven
Today didn't match up to yesterday weatherwise. Undaunted though I set off for the garden centre and got some more bags of bark. That's a job for another day though.
After lunch we walked down to Craigleith. On the way we came across this. I don't think I've ever seen such healthy elm trees. The leaves were thick and lush and about twice the size I'm used to seeing and as for the seeds.... The pavement was bordered by two thick deep rows. The close up shows them in more detail. I'm really glad that there are still some strong elms around after the ravages of Dutch Elm disease.
We had a fridge stir fry for dinner then afterwards a couple of loooooong phone calls. We then settled down with online banking and transferred the donation from our church to the hospital in India, around £850 so that was worthwhile.
Didn't actually get around to watching any TV tonight, Bridge was cancelled, so we just caught up with some bits and pieces.
Stay safe and well everybody. I watch the numbers and pray.
