The shadow of the cross...
Wednesday today so I went to our midweek service. This cross in the church grounds rather pleased me, it is what is left of our Easter daffodil cross and I rather liked the effect.
For the first time in ages I walked to and from church, I'd forgotten how much I enjoyed doing that.
Back home again, I opted not to spread the bark in the back garden. Instead I stayed in and carried out various admin tasks including talking myself into giving a talk next week. I'd better get my act together and start writing it.
We had salmon for dinner, we like it baked in the oven with either lemon flavoured mayonnaise or hollandaise. I usually make my own - I've worked out how to fix it if it curdles, today though I decided to try M&S's fresh hollandaise. It was OK but much less tart than the one I make so we'll not be using it again I don't think.
I had a Zoom meeting for Cursillo this evening, hopefully some actions will result from it.
A generally quiet day today though which was nice. We didn't watch any TV at all. I found out from another blipper that there had been a train strike a couple of days ago.... how could I have missed that? The BBC news app is clearly very selective in what it reports.
Keep safe and well folks, the numbers are still rising. I do so want to be able to go to Iona in July. My trip to Wales at the end of this month for my sister's postponed from 2020 birthday party sounds like it is off as we are more than the permitted number of households. :-(
