Still Has Great Eyes

After all the hoopla surrounding my 2 year Blip anniversary...today I just wanted to have a lazy Sunday blip.

But first...about the hoopla. Thanks to all who stopped by yesterday with the well wishes. Made me feel special on a special day on a special website.

I always feel bad when I see this bird, and the 4 other birds that he travels with. The birds and their handlers show up at a lot of craft shows.

I would love to say that they are being rehabilitated for their return to the wild...but...their injuries are too great. Blindness and bad wings are the biggest reasons. If you can't fly...you can't feed. But their appearance in drawing in contributions from the craft-show-strolling people...enable other birds and animals to be fixed up and released. I bought a T-shirt.

Most all of the craft booths have a sign that states NO PHOTOS PLEASE! I was surprised to enter one today that said PLEASE TOUCH, AND FEEL FREE TO TAKE PHOTOS. Well...how about that?

I put 5 pieces of the artwork on my FLICKR PAGE...ranging in price from 125 dollars up to 2900 dollars. Quite pretty.

I'm off to my 2nd concert of the day. This morning it was The Taylors...3 young siblings from North Carolina. Tonight it is a group called The Dixie Echoes. My leg is starting to twitch already...getting ready for the beat.

After that? You guessed it. Picked up more strawberries today.
