TWO YEARS!!!

It's been a rough ten days.

My wife left me to go back to Michigan...I've taken 5-6 slivers to the fingers...our Florida air conditioning unit had to be replaced...my Canon camera is on the fritz...and...there's something wrong with my favorite singer...Justin Bieber.

But...nothing...and I mean nothing...is going to keep me from celebrating my 2 year Blip anniversary.

730 blips in a row! Who'd have thunk it? I did have to back blip quite a few times. That's what happens when you go on vacation, and stay in places that still have b&w tv's, and carpeting on the walls. They chuckle when you ask if they have wi-fi.

2 years and 2 days ago...in a 45 minute garage sale line...Susan (who used to be a blipper) told us about Blipfoto. It took me 2 days to work up the courage, and then I posted a roseatte spoonbill. 730 days later...here we are.

This is such a strange site. How can you feel you "know" someone...when you've never met? How can you feel the pain and happiness of others...when all you get is a picture and some prose? Odd, but refreshing. Weird, but fulfilling.

Thanks to all who visit. It's been a pleasure to meet a few of you. Hope to meet more in the future. Thanks for the daily dose of enlightenment as I check out your pictures from around the globe. Also...thanks to my family (especially my wife Lisa) for putting up with my snap-happy shutter finger.
