I was going to go with a history themed collage tonight after going to a couple of historical parks today...but that changed after a trip to the ocean. I like to go to a particular marina at sunset. Birds galore.

My day started with a pancake breakfast at the beach with our condo neighbor Faye. A sweeter and nicer person you will never meet. She turned the meal into a competitive eating contest. She ate 6 (really 3), so I had to down 4 to beat her. She got so many compliments on her jacket that I'm thinking about letting her pick out my wardrobe from now on.

We then went to a good-sized craft show to appreciate some Florida talent. I always linger at the photography booths, but like mediums of all kinds...except for those jewelry booths. One glance, and that's enough.

I dropped Faye off, and went for my history lesson. This area is/was known for their citrus fields and their cattle ranches. Both parks have 6-7 historical biuldings to see. General stores, cracker houses, 1-room schoolhouses, and churches.

The 2nd park was advertising a fiddle show at 2 p.m. I got there at 2:05...just in time to hear Foggy Mountain Breakdown. I also noticed that the Legler-Schmidt wedding was going to be at the 1887 church.

I figured public place...public wedding. I stormed through the side door, and belted out in my best operatic voice..."IS THIS THE LITTLE GIRL I CARRIED? IS THIS THE LITTLE BOY THAT PLAYED?....The brides father and mother sprang out of their seats. He dragged me out by my camera bag, while she beat me with her grass-woven fan. What did they think this was...their special day?

I ended up at the marina and the beach for the sunset. On a 1-10 scale...I gave the sunset a 3. So-so. I got quite a few good in-flight shots of the shorebirds. The shots were marred by not just one visit, but two from Doris, who had been frequenting the bar at the Swordfish grill. "H-hey m-mister...if you t-take a p-picture of t-those p-pelicans, and t-take it t-to the p-paper...they'll p-publish itttt."

My darling Doris (who winked at me when she got in her boat)...This ones for you!
