A slice of Lesley's life

Happy World Book Day

Today's blip is brought to you by Edek (Polish WWII refugee boy from Ian Serraillier's The Silver Sword) and Matilda (superbright, adorable, magical bookworm from Roald Dahl's Matilda).

I'm a tiny bit broken after a book group outing to Union Jacks restaurant last night so an easy blip is perfectly timed. Was worth it though. One of those occasions when I was very tempted to cry off as I was feeling tired and under slept but very glad I made the effort as it was a lot of fun and I sort of oddly feel less tired. Though perhaps I'm just still drunk. Which might explain the thought process that went along the lines of given that I was feeling broken anyway I might as well go for another run so I now feel broken but virtuous. Am going to spend the rest of the day finding the most mundane, brainless tasks I can.
