Mini summer

Been having trouble with installing new router. OH not happy. I spent hours on phone with with different BT people often being told contradictory things to try. Last resort engineers to come tomorrow.
Met friend, A at Botanical gardens this afternoon. It was busy, but we managed to find quieter spaces.  A gave me my birthday present of Mr Mac and Me by Esther Freud and Tony's chocolate and a pulmonaria/lungwort plant she knows me well!  We agreed a long time ago to only give gifts on our birthdays and only cards at Christmas. Birthday gifts invariably are books, earrings, food, chocolate.
It was a splendid afternoon day. Cycling back saw Jesus Green was busy - extra. Put my mask on before I cycled on the path as people - unmasked - crossed inches in front of me. Did feel uneasy with the frequency of this in such a short distance.
