Carol: Rosie & Mr. Fun

Living Popcorn!

Late this afternoon, I headed out to do some shopping. I had two coupons that were both going to expire today -- both worth $5.00 each. For one I had to spend $50; for the other, I had to spend $25. One was from the office supply store and the other from the dog store (PetCo). So it was easy to spend $50 on dog food (these 3 love to eat) and it wasn't difficult to spend $25 on office supplies.

When that task was complete, I headed for home because the dinner hour was arriving rapidly and I knew Mr. Fun and the 3 popcorns would wonder where I was and if I would be coming back.

When I got in the house the pups were going crazy in the backyard. Mr. Fun had put them out there. They rarely are outside, except to do their business and come back in. They had heard my car when I backed into the driveway and then on into the garage. As I walked through the door, Mr. Fun said, "Here's your blip!" Then he said, "Living popcorn."

So I tried to capture their "popping" with my camera.

I think of myself as "mom" to these critters, but I bet they mostly think of me as the "food lady." They thoroughly enjoy that I provide a small morning meal and a bigger evening meal everyday.

Chloe is white; Mitizi is carmel; and Max is black and he doesn't exert much energy. So rarely does he contribute to this "popcorn" moment. He's a watcher! Oh yeah, and he's a barker (quite annoying).

Our high temperature today was 86 degrees F. It was absolutely summer.

Good night from Southern California--the land of fruits and nuts and "popcorn."
