Delivery for Canal Cottage

Slept ok.....we were awake just before 9.
A grey ol day, brightened by breakfast in bed.
Hubs been pretty good, felt a bit off around lunchtime, but it soon passed.

Lunch was tomato soup and a coronation chicken sandwich....hub couldnt really taste it he said, so guess his taste buds have bowed out for a few days.

Its been mild and dry today so I made the most of it, got out into the garden to do some much needed cutting back and tidying. Filled the green garden bin as its due to be emptied tomorrow ;-) Hub came outside for a out half an hor, sat in the summerhouse chatting to daughter for a while.

Todays blip is the promised finished jigsaw, entitled as per todays journal entry. I chose it as it reminds me of my mum and dads cottage on the canalbank in Lymm, where they lived and moored their narrowboat.

Our quiz neighbours called round to the front window this evening, we had a nice chat with our masks on and the windows open. No one has any news to share though :-/

Dinee this evening was stir fried,veg with noodles in an oyster sauce with a charred sliced duck breast on top.

Hubs been ok today, but felt a bit offside once or twice......think the next few days will be his down days, usually about 10 days post chemo.

Think we are going to carch up with the new series of Marcella tonight, we really enjoyed the first series.
