Three Little Birds

Some exotic arrivals at the bird feeder today. I can only assume they escaped during the tree decorating frenzy of yesterday. And given how full of ornaments the tree is, I suspect these ones may not be missed for some time so can continue to live free in the wild.
And, yes, I know there are four not three but, in the spirit of modern day journalism, why let the facts spoil a good story (cf any media report in the last seven days about Covid/Vaccines/Brexit).
But I do like the optimism of that song:-

"Don't worry about a thing
'Cause every little thing gonna be all right”

And I’m sure everything will be all right in the end. It’s just a question of when that end will be. Perhaps we should refer back to Winston Churchill for an apt quote regarding the news of the vaccine rollout “This is not the beginning of the end. But it is, perhaps, the end of the beginning”

And in that spirit, I booked tickets today to see the Beach Boys at the Royal Albert Hall next June. Let’s hope that optimism is fulfilled and the concert will be able to go ahead. And by “go ahead”, I mean under normal conditions without social distancing or masks. Because if that is allowed, then pretty much everything else will be possible, and we’ll only have Brexit left to worry about!
