Fresh After Rain
Earlier, rain lashed down along with a torrent of leaves that obscured the view and coated the ground. Clearing skies followed and sunshine, which allowed me to capture the bright red leaves of the Nannyberry. Still some green algae about to provide a nice contrast.
As the scene was quite bright and I had exposed for the highlights, the raw file had deep black shadows to deal with. It struck me that the resulting image gives no indication of the work that went into making it. And probably rightly so; as a viewer we admire the outcome, or not. But with other art forms that's not the case, painting or sculpture, for example. Just a thought.
