Clearing

The woodland is opening up now offering more views into the interior and this little clearing appealed to me. I liked the fallen tree leading into the scene pointing towards the pond which provides something of a pay off.

Looking at it now, I wonder whether I should crop off the right side because the image seems unbalanced. Alternatively, I could try shooting it again and reposition the fallen tree more centrally. Also, the sky reflection is the lightest part and draws most attention, yet it is only one third into the frame and discourages exploring the remaining image. Note to self: I ought to pay more attention when taking photographs!
