Odd One Out
Most of the other trees are well on their way to autumn plumage, if not already devoid of leaves, but not the willow. It's still a vibrant green, which at least extends the summer feeling a little longer, and stands in contrast to the oranges, reds and yellows.
Shooting into the light, I used the trunk as cover to shield the lens. I like how some leaves are back lit and others not, making a nice pattern of light and dark. It was then a case of how much of the frame should be red and how much green.
I tried a few shots with the trunk included, but decided the image was stronger without it.
