Burn of Wick
A day of gales, dull and overcast, and heavy rain most of the day. A few dry spells this evening, and winds dropping slightly.
I've been working in the museum again today. With the poor day, we've had a fairly busy day. We were fully booked, but allowed a lot of walk-ins where possible. Finally got out walkies with Sammy, and popped by Madeline's for a cuppa, before it's a "no no". Working in the pub later. New Coronavirus rules, so no more visits for a while, unless we meet in a pub or café. This is going to make a long winter, and a lonely one for many.
There's been a lot of rain this last two days, and the burns are full, and water rushing down the hills. This has also caused havoc with the wind farm project, with the run off heading to nearby lochs, causing pollution problems, and contaminating them. I never made it to Sandwater for a look, but I managed a walk here at lunchtime, and got soaked in the process. Taken at the Burn of Wick, with Mucklegarth in the background, Gulberwick.
