Washed Up at Sand of Hayes

Raining this morning, then turned sunny for a while.  Clouded over again, and showers after tea.  Wind and gales all day.

Another early start in the airport.  A busy morning on the check-in desk.  Our first flight was cancelled, due to technical issues, and had to rebook passengers.  A steady day of passengers in the afternoon too.  A couple of walkies with Sammy this evening, big Brian and Madeline popped by, and now a bit of telly before bed.

A brisk stroll along the coast at lunchtime, and the sea still had a swell, although calmer than yesterday.  Not sure when this bouy had washed up here, but this kind of thing is common around the coasts of Shetland.  I'll need to see if I can remove it sometime, before it breaks up further.  Note the waves crashing on the end of the runway, just above the bouy.  Taken at Sand of Hayes, Sumburgh.
