Today we met the good of human kindness.

We had a lovely night last night in Cottishall and bedded down early... all of us being woken at two am with youngsters on the village green congregating and then being picked up... not a clue what was going on. .... on a school night too!

We readied ourselves for departure with a plate of scrambled eggs.

Lines cast... engine on.... three point turn and we were off.

We were delighted as we were under threat by speeding day boat that a water monitor arrived and waved his 4mph stick at him. That was all it took.

While the sale was lovely.. it was with apprehension we approached Wroxham.... River Pilot required and Poo empty
Required.

I phoned the pilot; he advised us exactly where to be....

We got there and didn’t hit anyone.

He took control .... I shouted from the sink (because I was washing the dishes ), ‘ask him where we go to get rid of the poo’

I couldn’t hear the answer but I was aware that he was still on the seat past the pilot house....

He took us there... he took us down the little passage way and parked the boat end on and shouted the wee boys to come and do their stuff. If it hadn’t been for Covid I would have hugged that man... snogged him too if necessary. But as it was he was delighted with our relief

tooli ran into town for essentials and the boys did their job.

Tooli came back; with ice cream.... and the boys finished up. We tipped them. What a bloody job!

Then we set off again down river to get back to Salhouse ... plenty of space to dock in reverse but still the tension was there...

We got in but Si was confused. He thought we were squint but it was the people next to
Us who were - but it didn’t stop him trying to ‘move us’ back into position

We’ve bumbled up for dinner at the Fur and feather and accumulated 7000 steps for our trouble.

Then we got back early while it was still light and sat on the back of the boat.
