Da Bjorg

Thunder through the night, and torrential rain.  I didn't hear it, but woke with the rain.  Still heavy rain this morning.  It cleared into a beautiful sunny day, warm too, and flat calm tonight.

My Saturday on in the museum.  We were fully booked, but not to capacity.  Headed back to the caravan after work.  Mam and dad also came up with their camper, and staying the night.  Off out for a pint later.

After tea, we took mam and dad for a drive out to the Hams of Roe, and a walk with Sammy.  As always, the stunning scenery is breath taking, and worth the trip.  It must have been a hard life living out here.  The houses are far away, and poor soil for crops.  Looking on maps, this house was abandoned by the late 1800s, but still standing up well to the harsh Shetland climate.  Taken at Da Bjorg, looking down on the South Ham, Muckle Roe.
