Getting across

We took them down to the river at Shap Abbey on a gloriously sunny afternoon. Fishing and exploring were the activities. Of course Maisie, being the adventurous one, was not content until she had found a way across the river to the other side, which was a problem as there were deep bits in the middle. Here she is pondering the issue and Ella is following her. They eventually found a place further down that was accessible. Ice creams on the way home and a meal at the Bistro tonight. A lovely day.
