Any excuse
They all left this morning (see extra) after we had given them a good breakfast and by 4pm they were safely back at home in Kent. After a morning of working to get the house back to some sort of rights, clearing the fridge to see whether we can live for a few days on the leftovers (we can) and making a small dent into the mountain of washing, I suddenly realised it was the first of August and Yorkshire Day.
So off we set for a drive through the Yorkshire Dales. The sunshine was intermittent, there were a few motorcyclists on the road and a number of cars and walkers, but it was great to see the open spaces of the Dales - nothing like it really. But then I am a little biased!

But just look where our other daughter went today!
