Into Cragside - just!

Enjoyed the last croissants in the freezer with yesterday’s Marina Hyde - brilliant on Prince Andrew - and an espresso. Bliss.

Finished by kep using leftover wool. That’s 5 done - no stressing about Christmas presents this year.

#2 daughter arrived with some treats from Morrison’s. We are all going to attempt to do our food shopping there now, as they gave 10% discount to key workers, so we think they should get our custom

The boys are over the moon as some of the chrysalises hatched out and they have butterflies ready to release

She had left the boys at home with their dad as she was really in need of a good walk. We went over the hill to the Alnwick road, through a bit of Cragside, over to Debdon, took the red track to Blue Mill, onto the moor but as it was gale force wind we turned our back on it and did a circle round then up onto the sheltered side of the moor via Rickety Gate and home on the Carriage Drive in the wood. We arrived back just as the rain came on. 8.5 miles but I’m tired. #2 daughter is a runner and very fit so I hadn’t realised I was walking faster than normal to keep up with her.

She had to do a detour to get home as there had been a road accident between a motorbike and car. The bike went on fire. A lot of bikers like the twisty valley road for a Sunday outing. I don’t know yet how the biker is - the emergency services were there.
