Childhood terror

This programme was first aired in 1981. I was always off to bed before it was on (it was shown at 9pm - the 'watershed'). Whenever I heard the music it scared me.

James, for some reason, has been intrigued to watch it...possibly because I told him that it scared the bejeezus out of me so he wanted to see how unscary it was (I am unsettled by some of the new Doctor WHo episodes - not good with anything that is 'tense' or thriller like).

We watched the first episode on Sunday when we got back from Cornwall. James had taken the DVD from Aunty Pats house when we were clearing things out (he did ask!!!). As soon as I heard the music and the weird triffid noise, I got goosebumps.

Childhood terror comes back to haunt me - whilst James looks on and tells me I am a big wuss!
