tea on the riverbank

For a while now, I have thought it would be nice to cook our tea over an open fire. I mentioned it to Luke and he was up for it - he has plenty of experience of this from camp. We chose a spot which would usually be under water in less dry weather, and one with no overhanging trees. Dead wood was easy to find and the fire started easily. We cooked vegan sausages and corn on the cob. Food tastes so much nicer this way!

Jess spent the whole time swimming around! She never even asked for some of our food...

We cleared up carefully afterwards and I hope no-one will be able to tell that we were there.
