Bit of a departure for me!

Had such a productive day and feeling ludicrously proud of myself!
Dogs walked and swum before the heavens opened big style! Trip to dump and recycling centre with yet another car full; some of which may have been wine bottle related. Lol! Boring old food shopping done and cupboards stocked for the weekend and I managed to emulsion the living room!!!
Mr Cakes had to go to his 'proper, bring some money in job' today so all work in the living room has stopped. It suddenly came to me that today was the perfect day to get it painted! I'm not renowned for my practical hands on skills but for once I seem to have done an ok job. All fresh and clean looking for the return of the furniture, the new curtains, light shades and rug. How exciting!
( This probably gives completely the wrong impression of us by the way; it takes us forever to get down to doing anything in the house and this burst of activity probably won't be repeated for years!)
