Guess what I've been making today....

That's right. Tonnes of marmalade!
Mr Cakes did wonder if I was making any this year and I appear to have made a big enough batch to see us through till next January! I use the same recipe each time but I never remember how much it makes: I doubled up this year to make sure we would have enough and I think we're safely covered!
Had a nice dry dog walk this morning. Humans did about 51/2 miles so dogs did at least 11. They've been fairly chilled since we came home!
I've been on hand to 'help' with finishing touches to floor. Mostly tidying up and holding things that require cutting and trimming- that's about my level to be honest.
Boys have a pal home so a batch of Malteser slice was ready for the hungry hoardes coming home. That and a huge quantity of marmalade of course!
