Introducing Iris

Slept ok, up at 9, thought about going for a run, whilst we were having breakfast but hub suggested a walk into town, so thats what we did.......picked up a paper and some raspberries and blueberries too. Its been more sunny today, but still a chilly wind!

Usual coffee on our return, sat in the summerhouse.....chatting on social media. Its our DiLs birthday today.....sent her card & gift about a week ago, arrived on the dot today, thankfully.

Tuna mayo and cucumber on a light bagel and a cupasoup for lunch today.

This afternoon I planted up two hanging baskets and the trough by the front door, with a mixture of geraniums, fuschia and million bells in the baskets and three lemon trsiling begonias in the trough. Still have about ten plants left......so another couple of planters to come for the nack garden I think. That will be it for this year I think. Didnt take many pictures today, but my blip is this beautiful blousy iris ehich has opened up in thr sunshine.

Hub went indoors to watch themupdate whilst I sat in the summerhouse reading to rest my back, it was aching a bit after being stooped over whilst planting.

We went out for another short walk before dinner, but hub didnt get very far, his knee, which has been good lately, gave him a real jab, a sharp pain....he couldnt put much weight on it, so he turned back towards home, I carrried on at a march.....got home in half an hour almost twelve thousand steps today.

Dinner tonight was the last of the chicken lasagna, with a mixed salad, followed by a yoghurt.

We are contemplating going out for a drive tomorrow, not too far, just somewhere different for a walk.......just testing the water. Will be interesting to see how busy it is, or not, hopefully!
