Busy Bees

Another good nights sleep......got up around 9.
Didn't even hear the binmen :-0

Breakfast sat in the summerhouse, clear blue sky and sunshine today, but still not,overly warm unless you could get out of the wind.

We walked doen to the post office as we had things to post, hub collected his paper, just as we were walking through to start our walk back I noticed the Opticians lights were on. Rang the number, Helen answered, let me in, tried on and paid for my new glasses, really like them.......we have only done 7k steps today, hubs knee was ok, but a bit more painful than normal. :-/

We decided not to take a drive out today as we had a family "houseparty" planned for mid afternoon today, which was fun, 11 of us, only middle son was missing, doing a good deed for the girls great grandma, she needed her lawn cutting :-) you can see us all in extras.

It was just before 5 by the time we finished so hub went on to listen to todays update.....I went outside to read in the protected corner, lovely in the sunshine. Now up to page 950 of my epic......can't be far off the end now!

I noticed the sun on these flag irises late afternoon, luckily this bee had noticed them too, so a bit of added interest ;-) I dug a large clump of them up late summer before we started the work on the summerhouse & patio. I split it into 4 and replanted....they have all flowered, but are a bit on the spindly side this year, am sure they will bulk up next summer.

Dinner tonight was salt & pepper chicken with vegetable stir fry and noodles....very tasty!

Just finished and cleared away in time for 8pm clapping for heroes, all our neighbours out in force again.

Evening of tv...as usual tonight, but not a great deal on :-//
