Birthday afternoon tea

Slept heavily, but not long enough, awake early again! Felt a bit heady, slept heavily maybe :-Cant even blame the bin men, they didn't come till mid morning, followed closely by the window cleaners. The bossman knocked on the door to express his condolences.

Just a light breakfast with afternoon tea to come, which I collected mid morning.

Its DiLs birthday today, they are currently having a new floor laid so we decided to have it at ours. Th blip is youngest, his wife S and her mum C. We had a nice bottle of fizz to go with it too....all very nice. Excuse the boxes on the table, one thing I don't own is a posh cake stand lol ;-))

We spent a lovely 3 hours chatting.....eating and drinking, before they had to get back. Did feel a bit lonely when they had gone, but pulled myself together, got changed, put one of hubs thick jumpers on for comfort.......no tea as such tonight, just a black olive roll with a bit of goats cheese, not a very healthy day today ;-/

Spent most of this evening watching tv and catching up with one or two friends.....and watching my teams abysmal performance :-/

Our friends nextdoor have asked me to join them tomorrow for a trip to a couple of local garden centres, which will be nice.......a planned call to sis in law in the morning too.

Thank you for all the nice comments on yesterdays ruins......am feeling pretty ruined myself, feel really tired so am going to make sure I get to bed earlier tonight.
