Lakeside
We had a few things to see to this morning, but as planned headed up to Ambleside in time for midday.
Sat in the sunshine, beside the lake with a coffee and a pasa de nata, which was delicious, just watching the world go by, so peaceful, heaven!
Walked along the waters edge, then through the fields, over the beck and into the town centre......we browsed a few shops, didnt buy anything though, well other than a late lunch.
Tuna jacket and salad for me, hub had BLT and chips ;-)
Rather than a blip of the lake, I liked this view, and the almost 3D feel to the shot.....well thats how it looked on the ipad, pre uploading ;-)
A leisurely wander back, 13k steps by the time we got back to the car, just as our 4 hour parking was up! Hubs knee held up pretty well. The car was really warm, so we gave it a few minutes to cool down, whilst we drank a bottle of water. The drive home wasnt bad at all, considering we hit Preston bang on rush hour. Back in the house by 5.30pm.
I spent an hour downloading my photos as I am part exing tomorrow. Body and lenses all boxed up, so its bye bye Nikon and hello Olympus tomorrow, if all goes to plan..exciting!
A learning curve to come no doubt!
After a quick tea of roast ham, that I cooked last night, with salad, I dashed off to camera club, where we had an open forum on the use and value of various filters, which was interesting and informative.
Back home to a waiting hub, with GOTs at the ready....another fabulous episode, one to go!!!
For any blippers who are going to the Haworth 1940s this Saturday, we are planning on meeting at the Bandstand in the Park between 11.30-11.45am. We being myself, hub and Lovelupins17, hope see you there :-)
