Who is the fairest swan of all?
A lovely morning with lengthy spells of sunshine. It was very cold and the little snow we had remained well into the morning.
The larger pond in Queens Park is being drained and the water level there is already very low. Only a couple of coots and tufted ducks still calling the 'big' pond home.
No gulls and the cygnets have gone. The small pond, with plenty of water, is now home to the mallards, moorhens and the two adult swans.
I hope the improvements to the large pond are carried out quickly before all the waterfowl start looking for a new home.
