Queen Margaret University
Mild morning. Winter might be flattering to deceive at the moment so best enjoy its “balm” while we can!
A meeting at Queen Margaret University went very well in the morning. This new build on the southern outskirts of the city is beginning to mature into its surroundings. The city is quietly building its way out to surround the university within the next ten years.
It was still twilight as I walked to the station to take the 1730 train to Tweedbank. Earlier today a broken down train was causing significant cancellations and delays. Luckily the service had returned to near normality in time for the evening rush.
I was attending a meeting of volunteers from the Borders at the Buccleuch Arms in St Boswells. I pre booked taxis from and to Tweedbank station. They all worked and the 2129 train was on time too. It had so few passengers on it that we could have all easily fitted into a 9 seater taxi!
The meeting was very well attended and its content was excellent too.
